birthday bash 09

Birthday bash 09!

i just had my most awaited birthday party last october 23 at adelentado bar in makati!

i always celebrate birthdays with friends and family
but i should say, this was the best to date! :)

although, i must say, it was pretty tiring doing the preparations and all (whew!)

so
grateful some friends offered to help and arrange things for the birthday gurl, but of course i did some leg work too :)

questions
of what, when, how, and where, keeps coming in:
how
many guests?
where's
the location?
how
much is the budget?
what
type of food/drinks?
what's
the theme?
what
to wear?!

hmmm,
then i realized, its not easy being a hostess after all!
i
came up with answers to the following questions
Birthday Party Planning Guide

Picking a Location

When picking a location you really have four choices.

1. Home – Inside. Most of the people I know are most comfortable with this approach. You know your house, you can decorate when you want (or when you have the time) and you “set the rules” for the party.

2. Home – Outside Same address but a whole different decorating approach and vibe to the party. Lots of fun but make sure you have options if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

3. Restaurant/Party Room. Lots of the headaches go away. But will you have privacy? Will you have enough time? Does it fit your budget?

4. The Moveable Feast. Often referred to as the pub crawl this can be great fun and friends can come and go as they see fit. Takes some planning and cooperation from the places you visit but you can “customize” an evening for the guest of honor by going to their favorite places.

I chose the option number 3
friend
of mine owns a bar in makati, just walking distance from makati medical center, he suggested to celebrate the party at his bar and would gladly have it private for me! (how sweet!)

Sending the invites
text the invitations a few days in advance. Include the theme so guests can dress appropriately. Have an RSVP date on the invitations. This will help you plan the amount of food and drink to buy.

what's
on the Menu?
cold
cuts paired with crackers
pansit canton
garlic
mushroom
pasta
sisig
salpicao
sushi
peanuts

baileys
smb
light
softdrinks
vodka
cruiser

BUDGET?
Hmmm, cant put a price on it, the night was just priceless!

MUSIC? Hell, RnB ofcourse :)

GUESTS?
total of 35

lastly, just Have a great time. Even if everything does not go according to plan, keep perspective. its time to celebrate, have fun and get all crazy.

How to Title a Blog

How to Title a Blog??

I've been thinking about creating my "so called blog" for the past week, shall do it? do i have the time, the creativeness and enthusiasm to carry it out? lots of queries comes into mind!

This is going to be my first time to do such thing, i have never even made my own diary ever! just the thought of someone might be able to read it, scares me a bit! you probably wonders, what changed?!

Oh well, i guess its quite nice to put every experiences in to writing, make memories tangible and concrete! yeah, pictures are there for beautiful memories to look back on, but having to read something, like from a time capsule is really quite a nostalgia :)

and so i think,think,think
what to write?
job experiences?
career stuff?
lovers and friends?
silly and stup*d stuff?

a lot is coming through my head!

then I've decided, put everything in it! be it interesting, silly and stup*d! :)

so what now? time to think of the blog title! i cant think of something really catchy right now, but i'll work on it! but i came up with "LOVEMYLIFE"
its simple, precise, straight to the point (very me!)

for those people who would like to create their own blog (although,I'm pretty sure, very few are the ones doesn't blog yet!)

i found this article, you might find this helpful! :)

Things You'll Need:

  • Eagerness to start a blog
  • Creativity
  • Patience
  1. Step 1
    Capture your reader
    Capture your reader

When choosing your blog title, you want the title to inform readers what your blog is going to be about, catch the attention of your blog readers, have a short length, include the right keywords for search engine traffic, be unique, and have the right spelling. Think of all six things carefully while creating your blog title, assuming that you already have a blog topic chosen, and make sure you capture all six points.

  2. Step 2

Choose a blog title by writing down all the possible blog titles on a blank piece of paper that you think would fit for your blog topic. Then walk away from the piece of paper for a few hours. When you come back to your blog title list, add some more possible titles if you want. Walk away from the sheet of paper again for another few hours. Come back to your list, read it over, and choose the blog title that sounds most appealing to you.

  3. Step 3
Inspire your blog title from song names
Inspire your blog title from song names

Song names may inspire a blog title that you might like. Make a list of all your favorite songs that relate somewhat to your blog topic. From that list, choose a few names that would fit for your blog. In a few hours, you can add more song names to the list if you want. You can even combine two song names in a way whereas it creates an unique blog title just perfect for your topic.

  4. Step 4

Browse random advertisements related to your blog topic to come up with a good blog title. Go to a blog related to what your blog topic is going to be about and browse the ads on the website. Read them and, if a few keywords from the ad inspires you, write them down. Pretty soon you'll have a bunch of keywords to choose from for your blog title. Be creative!

  5. Step 5
Search for related blogs on Blogcatalog
Search for related blogs on Blogcatalog

Go to a website like http://blogcatalog.com/ or http://technorati.com/ and browse the many blogs on display. Make sure the blogs you're looking at are related to what your blog is going to be about. Take a look at the blog names and use these names as examples of what your blog title should be. You can even ask the author of each blog you like how he/she came up with the blog name.

  6. Step 6

You may also want to choose a blog title that has an available domain name. For example, my blog title is Salad Sticks and www.saladsticks.com was available when I made my blog title. So, once you decide that a certain blog title is right for you, do a search in your address bar to make sure that it's not already taken.

  7. Step 7
    Get outside blog advice
    Get outside blog advice

Create the perfect blog title by getting outside help. Gather up a few blog titles you think would fit for your blog and have someone you care about look them over. It can be a friend, family member, boyfriend, or girlfriend. Whoever it is, tell the person to offer ideas of other blog titles that can be used and ask him/her to help you choose the best title that will work. This way you'll get another opinion other than your own to what blog title would be best. You can even ask a professional blogger for ideas as well.

hope this would help!
i'll be back in a few hours though, will drive to manila memorial now!
happy halloween!

be sexy!
much love!
